Planet Zoo 2 unlocks October 13 at 11:00 ART on every platform, with a physical edition on October 20

Planet Zoo 2 opens its gates today. In a Steam news post on October 9, 2026, Frontier Developments wrote that “the game will be launching at 3PM BST on October 13.” That is 14:00 UTC and 11:00 in Argentina (ART) on Tuesday, October 13.

The sequel adds aquatic and flying species for the first time, with aquariums and aviaries, plus Wildlife Reserves, alongside Career, Franchise and Sandbox modes, according to Frontier’s May 28 announcement.

What time Planet Zoo 2 unlocks

Frontier’s release-times map, embedded in the post, is headed “Global Release Times – All Platforms – 2PM UTC / 3PM BST – 13 October 2026.” It lists:

• October 13: Los Angeles 7:00 PDT · Chicago 9:00 CDT · New York 10:00 EDT · São Paulo 11:00 BRT (the same as Buenos Aires, 11:00 ART) · London 15:00 BST · Paris and Berlin 16:00 CEST · Beijing 22:00 CST · Singapore 22:00 SGT · Seoul and Tokyo 23:00
• October 14: Sydney 1:00 AEDT

Because the map says all platforms, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S unlock at the same moment as PC. The PlayStation Store listing independently shows “10/13/2026 02:00 PM UTC” and marks the game PS5 Pro Enhanced. The Xbox Store shows the date only, so the Xbox hour rests on Frontier’s map. On PC, the official buy page lists Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Pre-load, and a physical edition a week later

“If you’ve pre-purchased Planet Zoo 2, you’ll be able to pre-load on Steam,” Frontier wrote. “We’re aiming to have this available from 3PM BST on October 12” — 11:00 ART on Monday. The post covers Steam only; Frontier has not announced pre-load on PS5 or Xbox.

The same map adds a line at the bottom: “Physical edition 20 October” on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No physical PC edition is listed, and Frontier has not given a physical price.

Prices and editions

Frontier’s suggested retail prices are £39.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 for the Standard Edition and £54.99 / $64.99 / €64.99 for the Deluxe Edition, on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; the Steam page matches in the US. On Steam Argentina, the Standard Edition was listed at US$22.99 before taxes when we checked on October 11.

Per the buy page, the Deluxe Edition adds six species — Golden Eagle, Golden Lion Tamarin, Great Hammerhead Shark, Axolotl, Blue and Gold Fusilier and Longfin Batfish — and exclusive animal signs. Pre-purchases include a Bonus Content Pack: the Toucan Eat Shop and Signage, three Unique Animal Donation Bins and a Tiger Photo Stand-In Wall.

What to watch today: whether every storefront flips at 11:00 ART as the map says. There are no reviews or player numbers yet.
