Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launches October 15 for $29.99, with Steam unlocking at 01:00 ART

Two days out, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has an hour on Steam. Konami dated its new 2D Castlevania for Thursday, October 15, 2026, in a June 8 press release, and the Steam store page now carries a release timestamp of 04:00 UTC on October 15. That is 01:00 in Argentina (ART) on Thursday.

The game is developed by KONAMI and Evil Empire, the studio that handled updates and DLC for Dead Cells, with advisory help from Motion Twin. It is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, and follows Rose Belmont, Trevor Belmont’s daughter, with the Vampire Killer whip. It lands in the series’ 40th-anniversary year.

What time Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse unlocks

• Steam: 04:00 UTC on October 15, per the store page data — 01:00 ART on Thursday, midnight EDT, and 9:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 14. That is why the US Steam page shows “Oct 14, 2026,” and why it said on Monday that the game “plans to unlock in approximately 2 days.”
• PS5: the US PlayStation listing also shows “10/15/2026 04:00 AM UTC” — midnight Eastern.
• Argentina and Latin America on console: not verified. We have not confirmed the PlayStation or Xbox hour in Latin American stores, so we are not printing one.

Konami’s press release gives a date, not an hour. Platforms are PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and Nintendo Switch; Konami’s site lists the Switch date as October 15 too.

Price and editions

On Steam in the US, the Standard Edition is $29.99 and the Midnight Edition is $39.99. On Steam Argentina, the Standard Edition was listed at US$25.49 before taxes on October 12.

Per Konami, the Midnight Edition adds a Digital Sound & Art Gallery with 71 tracks, Trevor Style and Sypha Style costumes for Rose, and the Family’s Grace relic. Pre-ordering or early purchase of any edition adds an Alucard Style costume. A physical Midnight Edition exists too, with a SteelBook at select EMEA retailers.

What else Konami has confirmed

Konami’s official site lists 60 fps, or 30 fps on Switch, an ESRB Teen rating, and Japanese and English audio, with Spanish (Spain) and Brazilian Portuguese among the text languages. The bosses include Death, Medusa and Carmilla, plus new ones such as Joan of Arc, which Rose seals into tarot cards as Arcana. A demo is listed on Steam.
