Sucker Punch Productions set the date in two PlayStation Blog posts by senior communications manager Andrew Goldfarb, on [August 12](https://blog.playstation.com/2026/08/12/ghost-of-yotei-complete-edition-comes-to-ps5-october-1/) and [September 3](https://blog.playstation.com/2026/09/03/jin-sakai-returns-in-ghost-of-yotei-most-wanted/). Three separate things land on the same day, at three prices: **free**, **$14.99** and **$69.99**. That split is the part worth getting straight before you open the store, because the name “Complete Edition” covers all of it. ## Free: the update every owner gets If you own *Ghost of Yōtei*, a free update arrives on October 1 whether or not you buy anything. Sucker Punch lists Beauty of Yōtei mode, new Watanabe Mode music tracks, an option to keep one armor set's stats while wearing another's appearance, a high contrast accessibility setting, new photo mode stamps and cosmetics, additional New Game Plus content and new trophies. ## $14.99: Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted The **Complete Edition Upgrade** is the paid tier for existing owners. It adds two things. *Echoes of Sekigahara* is a narrative expansion split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu's time on the mainland, including the Battle of Sekigahara. It brings back Nagato, a figure from her past, and sends her into the Ashoro Foothills, a previously unexplored area once held by the Snake and his followers, the Vipers. Sucker Punch also lists new enemy types, heavy weapons, armor sets and cosmetics. *Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted* is a single-player combat survival mode with a roguelike structure. You accept a bounty on a member of the Yōtei Six, fight through waves and minibosses to a final boss, and pick up perks along the way; the highest difficulty includes Lord Saito. Runs earn Mon, a currency that pays for techniques, weapon upgrades, charms and character unlocks, and cosmetics earned in the mode carry over to the main game. There are four playable characters. Atsu, the default, uses dual katana. Oyuki fights with a kusarigama, Nagato with a yari. The fourth is **Jin Sakai** — the protagonist of *Ghost of Tsushima* — with a katana and that game's four stances. ## $69.99: the Complete Edition itself For players who don't own the game, the **Complete Edition** costs $69.99. It includes the original *Ghost of Yōtei*, the four-player co-op mode *Ghost of Yōtei Legends*, the Digital Deluxe Edition content and both paid additions above. Sucker Punch says a physical edition launches on October 1 too. The September post tied an early unlock of the Sakai Armor to pre-ordering digitally by September 30, so that offer has passed. ## What to watch Sucker Punch's posts date the release for PlayStation 5.
